CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Rugarama Park Estate is a project set on 27 Hectares of beautiful land in Rugarama in Kigali, Rwanda. The project will consist of just over 2,000 units with a mix of townhouse-style residences, condominiums and studios. Also to be included are public parks, community buildings, shops and a market place.

The project is a joint venture between Shelter Afrique, a Pan-African housing finance institution and the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD). Shelter Afrique is a Pan-African finance institution that exclusively supports the development of the housing and real estate sector in Africa.

The Role

In this role, the job holder will work with a Board of Directors to ensure successful delivery of the project.

The main responsibilities of the CEO will include but are not limited to the following aspects:

· Oversee the overall rolling out of the project through efficient coordination of all the stakeholder activities including those of the property development company

· Market the Rugarama units to large Corporate and Government Institutions

· Liaise with Rwanda Housing Authority, City of Kigali, Land registry, Ministry of Infrastructure and any other Government Body involved in facilitating the success of the Rugarama project

· Manage day to day administrative work of Rugarama Park Estate

· Monthly reporting to the Board of Directors on the progress (implementation and marketing) of the project

· Preparation of Agenda and all documents required for Board Meetings.

· Ensure/facilitate well written minutes for all Board and Management meetings

· Facilitate/prepare monthly management accounts for presentation to the Board.

· Prepare the marketing strategy to ensure all 2 000 units are sold off before June 2020

The candidate

We are looking for an individual who can lead a dedicated team to ensure the successful delivery of the project. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following among other qualities and qualifications:

1.An avid professional of high integrity who is ready to take on a challenging assignment, champion change and deliver results.

2.Strong interpersonal and relationship building capabilities.

3.Successful leadership experience of at least seven years at an institution having similar characteristics to the project.

4.Successful stakeholder management should be demonstrated.

5.Knowledge and understanding of how property development projects are managed. Knowledge of managing a similar project will be an added advantage.

6.Mature disposition; ability to work as a team member and independently depending on circumstances.

7.A professional qualification preferably in marketing and sales . A Masters and Bachelor degree would be an added advantage.
