Responsibilities

As a Director at SouthBridge, you will be part of the leadership team and will contribute to developing, growing and managing the Kigali office.

In most assignments, your responsibilities as a Director will include:

  • Managing, developing and inspiring a team of Associates and Analysts, focusing on their leadership skills and project delivery. You will supervise from benchmarking projects – to ensure that they are completed on time and on quality – to delivery, in order to ensure a good client experience;
  • Managing multiple senior clients and key stakeholders during and throughout the research and delivery process with innovative insights and original thinking that will help clients to achieve their performance;
  • Presenting key findings to senior management and board level clients, to get their buy-in and help translate their purpose into action plans and results.

Qualifications

We look for exceptional people.

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in investment banking or related field in/with Africa
  • 8+ years of financial advisory/equity/finance modelling
  • strong analytical and numerical skills
  • passionate about M&A, capital markets and corporate strategy
  • fond of Africa and emerging markets
  • entrepreneurial culture
  • outstanding academic background from an African or international tir-one institution (preferably a Master degree in finance or any related subject)
  • fluent in French and English
  • excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • strong client-oriented mindset

In addition, you should enjoy working in a team setting, be committed to excellence and willing to consistently maintain high professional standards.
