The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Consultant — Inclusion to support the Inclusion Team within the Employee Experience Unit, part of the Talent Management Service, Human Resources Management Department. Objective of the Assignment
The Junior Consultant — Inclusion will provide project, communications, research, and administrative support to the Inclusion Team. The role focuses on strengthening internal engagement, supporting inclusion-related initiatives and events, and contributing to research and reporting that informs organizational decision-making.
Working under the supervision of the Gender and Diversity Specialist, the consultant will play a key role in translating inclusion strategies into practical, well-coordinated activities that support WIPO’s workforce and culture.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
1. Administrative and Coordination Support
The consultant will support the smooth planning and delivery of inclusion initiatives by:
- Coordinating inclusion-related activities, pilot projects, and network meetings
- Supporting event planning and delivery by shaping agendas, preparing presentations, and coordinating with internal stakeholders
- Managing the full lifecycle of events and meetings, including:
- Invitations and registrations
- Digital platform setup
- Vendor coordination
- Room bookings and materials preparation
- Maintaining operational systems such as databases, mailing lists, and engagement metrics to ensure efficient follow-up and reporting
This component of the role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
2. Communications Support
A key focus of the assignment is building awareness and engagement around inclusion initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Creating, adapting, and curating engaging content for internal communication channels such as:
- Intranet pages
- Newsletters
- Presentations
- Collaborating with internal communications teams and other stakeholders to amplify inclusion-related messages
- Maintaining and regularly updating inclusion-related web pages and Teams/SharePoint resources, ensuring content is:
- Accurate
- Accessible
- Engaging and aligned with organizational priorities

3. Research, Data Collection, and Analysis
The Junior Consultant will also support evidence-based inclusion work through:
- Conducting benchmarking and background research on inclusion policies, practices, and trends

- Gaps
- Opportunities for improvement
- Translating data insights into:
- Internal and external reports
- Briefings
- Policy documents that support informed decision-making

Required Profile
Education
- Master’s degree in:
- Social sciences
- Communications
- Human resources
- Gender studies
- International relations
- Or a related field
- A specialization in inclusion or diversity is an asset
Experience
- Minimum one year of relevant professional experience, including internships
- Proven experience in:
- Communications
- Administrative coordination
- Project implementation
- Experience within the United Nations system or other international organizations is desirable
Language Skills
- Essential: Excellent written and spoken English
- Desirable: Knowledge of another official UN language

Contract Conditions and Remuneration
- Contract Type: Individual Contractor (ICS)

- Renewal: Subject to performance, organizational needs, and budget availability
- Remuneration: Applicants must indicate their expected daily rate in Swiss francs (CHF)
Please note: ICS consultants are not WIPO staff members and are not covered by staff regulations. The position does not include entitlement to paid leave, sick leave, medical insurance, or pension, except for WIPO official holidays. Absences are unpaid.
