- Through the main university website:
- Visit www.up.ac.za
- Click “my UP Login” in the top navigation menu
- Direct portal access:
- Go straight to https://upnet.up.ac.za/
Login Credentials
- Your username starts with ‘u’ followed by your student number (EMPLID)
- Example: If your student number is
10514532, your username isu10514532 - Use your assigned password

Password Recovery
If you’ve forgotten your password:

New Students Setup
To create your initial account:
- Go to https://upnet.up.ac.za/
- Click the ‘New User’ button
- Provide your username and National ID/passport number
- Create a secure password meeting requirements
- Set up security questions for future password recovery
