The University of Toronto utilizes a single sign-on (SSO) system known as UTORweblogin, which allows users to access multiple web services with one set of login credentials. This system is designed to streamline the authentication process for students, faculty, and staff by enabling them to log in once using their unique UTORid and password.

What is a UTORid?

A UTORid is a unique identifier assigned to each user at the University of Toronto. It serves as the primary means of identification across various university services, including email (UTmail+), the student portal, and campus wireless networks. The UTORid simplifies access by allowing users to remember only one username and password instead of multiple credentials for different services.

How to Obtain a UTORid

Students receive their UTORids during the registration process. New students can obtain their TCard, which displays their UTORid, from their local campus TCard office. Faculty and staff members must visit their college’s business officer to acquire their UTORid.

Logging In with Your UTORid

To log in to the University of Toronto’s services:

  1. Navigate to the UTORweblogin page.
  2. Enter your UTORid and password.
  3. If successful, you will gain access to various university services without needing to log in again during that session.

Password Management

If you forget your password or need to reset it, you can use the following methods:

  • Visit the UTORid Password Verification Page if you believe you know your current password.
  • If you have registered for the UTORid Account Recovery Service, utilize the password reset tool available on that platform.
  • If not registered for this service, contact your campus help desk for assistance.
