Here’s how to log in to Howard Payne University’s student portal (myGateway):
Regular Login Steps
- Go to https://gateway.hputx.edu
- Enter your HPU username and password
- Click Login
First-Time Account Setup
If you’re a new student, you’ll need to claim your account first:
- Visit https://hputx.edu/accountclaim
- Enter your HPU email address (username@hputx.edu)
- Follow the verification process using either: (Your personal email address & Mobile phone number)
- Create a secure password meeting these requirements :
- Minimum 10 characters long
- Cannot contain your first or last name
- Must include three of these categories:
- Uppercase letters
- Lowercase letters
- Digits (0-9)
- Special characters (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;”<>,.?/)
Available Features After Login
Once logged in, you’ll have access to
- Current course schedules
- Grades
- Unofficial transcripts
- Degree audit information
- Financial information:
- Bill review
- Financial aid package details
- Payment plan setup
