Montana does not have any major league professional sports teams (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL). This is primarily due to its relatively small and scattered population.
However, the state does have several minor league and collegiate sports teams. The most prominent minor league teams are in baseball, and they are members of the Pioneer Baseball League.
While Montana doesn’t host “professional” teams in the same vein as those in major national leagues, there are opportunities to watch competitive sports at the minor league and college levels.
