List of professional sports teams in Alaska

Alaska does not currently have any major professional sports teams (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS). However, it does host several minor league and semi-professional teams.

Some notable teams that have played in Alaska include:

• Alaska Aces (Hockey): This team was a professional hockey team that played in the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) and later the ECHL before ceasing operations.
• Anchorage Bucs (Baseball): Part of the Alaska Baseball League, a collegiate summer baseball league.
• Anchorage Glacier Pilots (Baseball): Also part of the Alaska Baseball League.
• Fairbanks Ice Dogs (Hockey): A team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), a Tier II junior ice hockey league.
• Alaska Goldpanners (Baseball): A collegiate summer baseball team based in Fairbanks, known for hosting the Midnight Sun Game.
• Kenai River Brown Bears (Hockey): Another NAHL team.
